Second Cousins and Emails

Hey guys,
Two years ago I went to South Africa and I visited my second cousins there. There's Michael and his twin sisters that I can't remember the name of. I think Michael was fifteen at the time and his sisters were ten or something. I wanted to add him on Facebook and I found out his last name and typed it in the search bar and it came up with this:
So I couldn't be bothered to look through 500+ results. It's quite a common last name actually... I didn't think it would be.

I got an email from a reader saying this (I can't be bothered to type out the whole email):
(If you can't read the tiny print, click on the pic to enlarge it).
But that was very thoughtful of Anne to send in that suggestion and I thank her via the blog. I will think about setting up a competition but if any reader sets up a blog then email me (nina@esa-architect.com.au  because I love to hear from you guys) and I will set up an association thing like Anne mentioned.
If you guys have suggestions, just email me. *See email address above*. I love to hear from you guys and if you don't have a Blogspot account, you can email me your comments.

How to Teach Your Dog to Surf??

Hey guys
I know I just blogged, like, half an hour ago, but on my iGoogle home page, I have a widget that has wikiHow How-To-of-the-Day. And today's was "How to Teach Your Dog to Surf". I have copied the article below and added my opinion in bold.

How to Teach Your Dog to Surf

Dog's Nite Out surf team Captain, "Surf Dog Zoey", hangin' 10 Dog's Nite Out surf team Captain??
Surfing with your canine pal can be great fun and rewarding for both of you in terms of exercise and having fun together. So is watching TV. If you're keen to get your dog surfing with you, this article will help you to get Fido Fido?? used to the waves and surfing like a pro in no time!

editSteps

  1. 1
Make sure you have a dog surfboard. They actually make those??? Your dog's paws can be harmed if he is not using the right board, wax or track top. Foam boards might be a little easier on your dog's paws than a hard surface, and it's easier for him to walk on because there is more traction for his paws. What if he walks off the board and drowns?? Didn't think about that, did you Ester Brown *see above* On the other hand, the dog will scratch into the foam, and the foam might dig into the dog's paws, possibly giving it a rash.
    • Get your dog some gear too. Suitable items include a dog life vest Life vests are for people who can't swim. Dogs can't swim...and they're not people, dog wetsuits Wetsuits keep people warm. Dogs have fur., dog beach towels Ever heard of a normal towel?, water and salt waterproof bungee leashes, pet tent (for a rest in while you keep surfing) An umbrella does exactly the same thing, and EZ chairs for the beach (more for you!).
  2. 2
Start small. Begin somewhere easy, like a swimming pool or a lake Because there will totally be waves in a pool or a lake on a really flat wave day. Throw your dog's favorite fetch toy into the water And if the fetch toy drowns?? and see if he retrieves it. If he does, he is probably a water-loving dog. What happens if he doesn't? Having other dogs that like the water will also encourage your dog into the water.
    • Make sure you know how to surf. It won't make much sense to your dog if you're not sharing the experience and know what to do too!
    • This sport involves a lot of exertion in the water, and the waves can be rough, so be sure that you and your dog are both strong swimmers before attempting to surf.
  3. 3
Demonstrate by example and get your dog excited about being in the water with you. Let your dog watch you on a boogie board or surfboard to get him fired up to join you Chances are that the dog will get bored on the beach and either start chasing his tail or the ice-cream truck. Talk to him, call to him, and encourage him to come into the water and play nearby while watching what you're doing.
    • Play with your dog in the water.
    • Let your dog play on the board. Or pee on it.
    • Develop your dog's trust (the number one element for success); don't start off too fast and make sure that it is fun for your dog.
  4. 4
This dude looks like an idiot
putting the dog on the board
Get your dog used to the board on the sand or on another suitable surface before going into the water. Test your dog's balance to see where he likes to place himself on the board. And if he jumps off the board? Some smaller dogs like the nose of the board, some heavier dogs have a better center of gravity and like the middle to the back of the board. Depending on size, however, your dog should be roughly about two-thirds of the way back, with his tail over the board's fin.
    • If your dog is too far forward, the board will nosedive under the wave. Someone should totally capture that on film!
    • If your dog is too far back, the nose will come out of the water and the board won't catch the wave. *See above comment*
  5. 5
    PFD - Pet Flotation Device
     PFD - Pet Flotation Device
Pop on your dog's pet (personal) flotation device (PFD). The dog PFD will provide your dog with greater flotation when he wipes out in the surf. Many dog life vests have a handle on top that lets you gently pull your canine pal back on the board or out of the water when needed. No comment on this entire paragraph...
  6. 6
Paddle out. On a longboard, get on the board with the dog and paddle into the waves. You should be behind the dog for best results when paddling through the breakers. On a shortboard orboogie board, put the dog on the board and push him out through the breakers.
  7. 7
    The poor thing looks scared
    as shit!
Catch the wave. Start with small waves, roughly 1-2 feet (30cm - 60cm) Because I carry a ruler in my pocket to measure the wave before I catch it. Even champion surfing dogs champion surfing dogs??? don't tackle surf much bigger than 3-4 feet (90cm - 120cm).
    • Push off and shred. Catching the wave is a knack that requires timing, finesse, patience and lots of repetition.
    • Get your dog started in the wave each time and then let him surf the wave on his own. Try to get the dog started right when the waves starts to curl.
    • Dogs can't talk...idiot.
Now your dog and you are surfing! Bow Wow Bunga, dude! Bow Wow Bunga, dude??

So now you can see why this article is shit. Thanks for reading! I'll be letting you guys know about more fail articles by wikiHow (trust me, there are tones!) I don't know why there is this gay indent here ---->
Oh well. That arrow failed....

Soulja Boy

Hey guys
The song Kiss Me Thru the Phone by (Saint) Soulja Boy came out like in April 2009 and I was searching it because I hadn't heard it in ages (need to get it on my iPod) and the chipmunk version came up so I listened to it. It is so cute! Who doesn't love the chipmunks? They are adorable. Here's the link to check out the song:

New York

Hey guys
I have some really depressing news to break to you.
This isn't going to be easy.
I'm a C-grade student, give or take a grade.
My parents are threatening to make me move school if I don't get my grades up.
Please leave a comment below on how I can get my grades up to about a B.
So whoever is smart or has ideas on how to get smart... *see line above*

Anyway, I'll worry about that later.
Not true actually. I've been at the same school since I was 5 and I'm not really prepared to change just now. I'm kind of on a roll.
I saw the movie Fame, like, the day it came out last year and I really liked the school that all the people went to (New York High School of Performing Arts or something like that) and if I had to move schools, that would be my first option because, it's awesome.
Even though I live in Sydney, I could do the whole boarding school thing. Yeah...
So I looked up this school in Wikipedia and look at what came up:
Dude, this school was open for, like, 20 years! I was so excited to show my parents how much I wanted to go to this school and I go to the website and they're all like "Sorry, man, you're forty years too late."
They must of had, like, three grades at the school and then while the kids were doing their HSC, over the loudspeaker they say "Sorry, guys. Pack up your tests and please leave. The school is shutting down."

So that was also disappointing. Yeah...
But I would really like to go to New York so I'm going to talk to my parents about it but they'll probably say no so that will suck.

I'm going to look up some other New York high schools.
Yeah right. I can't be bothered to do that.
I'm just on Facebook right now so that's... I was going to say exciting but the word "expected" fits better.

OMG I forgot.
I updated my iPod and it's all new and stuff and I really like it.
And all my music was deleted off it *sad face*
But the data was saved to my computer so it's OK. All my music and podcasts and apps are safe.

I'm going to go now.
If you have the attention span to read to the bottom of this post, congratulations.

Curly Hair, Glitter and iTunes

Hey guys,
Normally, this is what happens on a Monday morning in the dying minutes before the bell rings:
Person: What did you do on the weekend?
Me: Nothing much. How about you?
Person: *Rambles on*
Me: *Nodding and acting like I'm interested*

This is what's going to happen:
Person: What did you do on the weekend?
Me: Dressed up as Ke$ha for a party. Everyone fell for my disguise. I also bought a crimper and spent three hours on Sunday trying out fifty types of curls on my hair.
Person: Wow! That's so interesting!

It was really exciting. I had my hair crimped and I wore my top that's like Ke$ha's and converse and had half my face covered in silver glitter. So exciting!
But seriously. My hair is dead straight and it just hangs there doing nothing and it is so exciting for me to be able to curl it. I actually like it. A few days ago, I used this fancy Spanish shampoo on my hair which said Wow! It volumes your hair and makes it look full! Well I used it, woke up the next day and found my hair curly. I didn't like it at first but then I started to like it so I'm going to crimp my hair for school tomorrow (which means I need to get up at, like, 6:30 [I usually get up at 7. Give or take ten, fifteen minutes]).

Now for the sad news. You're all going to start crying so get your tissues out.
I love music and I have over 800 songs on my iPod. My brother has an iTouch as well and he got the update for it so it's got the wholeanted to have airplane mode for my iTouch so I could still use it and see if there was Wi keyboard for the passcode and there are folders and multitasking and all that jazz. I wanted that because I'm going away in late September and I wanted to see if there was WiFi 30000 ft in the air. But I think the folders are really ugly and I want to look at all the other new stuff on it. So I went into iTunes, plugged my iPod in and clicked the "Update" button. It said there was an error which was -30 and 000058394 and a bunch of numbers and letters that mean shit to me. I had to go and "Restore" my iPod to it's "Previous Settings" so EVERYTHING was deleted. That means 812 songs, 46 Hamish and Andy podcasts and 174 apps. It's syncing now so I really hope that it just puts everything on from the backup (wherever that's saved). So that is why my Sunday afternoon has been completely destroyed.
It's a good thing that Apple doesn't advertise on this blog.
Leave a comment if you know anything about this iTouch shit that's going down because it's really annoying.

Stan Walker

Hey guys
A really good song that came out yesterday is Choose You by 2009 Australian Idol, Stan Walker. Just $1.69.

And also, I love the Hamish and Andy show (4-6 weekdays) and you should listen to them. Their inventor, Horgs, who has invented over 20 unsuccessful inventions over the last three years has written a song called I Hate Mondays. Hamish and Andy really liked the lyrics so they got Newton Faulkner (who is Horgs' favourite singer) to record the song and now it's a huge hit (number ten on iTunes... yesturday it was number two though). So buy the song and listen to the lyrics because they're really good and go and tell your friends to buy it to support Horgs because he gets 7 cents per song sold... so he only gets $70 if 100 are sold.

School started on Monday which was a real bummer and I should really be doing homework right now... oh well. The homework can go f*** itself.

I got an email from a fan just now and she said I should upload some photos of Ke$ha into the photo album. And I agree. She's an awesome singer. I ♥ Ke$ha and I know that everyone thinks she looks like raver Taylor Swift or trying to be a rapper but I really like her music so I'm going to upload some pics of her.

Eclipse

Hey guys
I just want to say that Eclipse is the most AMAZING movie I've ever seen in my life. No joke.
I've seen it four times and I'm planning to go tomorrow or Monday.
It's such a good film and it makes Twilight and New Moon look like shit!
I can't wait for Breaking Dawn. This is so exciting!
I haven't read the books because I don't read
But if you have read the book, leave a comment and let me know if Eclipse the movie was better than the book.
Also if you haven't read the book, just leave a comment telling me what you thought of the movie
And vote in the poll for your favourite Eclipse character -->
And this is so exciting. Ready for it?
I'm on Facebook. I mean I already had Facebook but now GWKE has Facebook and I'll be doing tonnes of status updates and I think I can set up polls and stuff so like me on Facebook.

Lunar Park

Hey guys
Lunar Park is awesome. If you're ever around the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, visit Lunar Park. It's awesome.

BTW I've just been dared to say Kirby is awesome.
So
Kirby is Awesome
Happy Kirby?
Good

Back to Lunar Park. There are these gay clowns walking around everywhere and they jump in your face and scream "Hello!" and "What's happening with you today?" and I'm just like "Awkward..." and don't know what to say.

I have to go now.
And OMG I found out something... this is really freaky.
So you know how there in sleepwalking and sleeptalking and stuff. Well I sleep-text. Sleep-text! How weird is that?!
I have to go urgently.
OK bye.

Modeling

Hey guys
So
I am considering become a model (emphasis on the considering part of that sentence. Let's just put that in bold and caps lock... CONSIDERING)
OK
Also, I am a huge fan of meekakitty (check her out on http://www.youtube.com/user/meekakitty) and she actually used to be a model so that's pretty cool and she has a few videos about the modeling industry and what size you have to be and everything.
The requirements to be a model is:
HEIGHT: 5ft8-6ft
BUST: 33"
WAIST: 24.5"
HIPS: 34.5"
The last three measurements are the maximum a model can be before being bugged about losing weight. The waist is measured two inches above the belly button and the hips is actually the largest part of the ass so...
Here are my measurements:
HEIGHT: 5ft5
BUST: 32.2"
WAIST: 24.8"
HIPS: 35" (yer, I know my ass is huge)

So here's my conclusion: I need to grow three inches (7cm), shed three inches off my stomach (7cm) and my ass has to shrink five inches (12cm).
But yer, please leave a comment in the comments box on what you think I should do and also how I can grow 7cm, shed 7cm and shrink my ass 12cm.

Rain

Hey guys
This is Australia for crying out loud and all it does is RAIN
It is sooooo freaking annoying
I thought we were in the middle of a drought
So much for that
If the farmers are so worried about their farms, why don't they just move to Sydney? It sure rains a shit load here
I feel really sorry for people like Jack who lived in London where it rains NON STOP
Now we know that the UK has been stealing all the rain in the past ten years

Girlfriend Competition

Hey guys
So I entered the competition.
But not with this blog.
To enter I had to write a "short" blog of "less than 500 characters" so I did.
I wrote about Article One, the awesome band. I really hope I win but I don't care that much if I don't.
I've never won a magazine competition before! This could be really cool if I do.
Here's the details on what I win:

Your first blog will be published in an upcoming issue of Girlfriend magazine and you'll get six blogs posted online at Girlfriend.com.au!
Visit Girlfriend.com.au for full conditions. The winner will be judged at the Promoter's premises on 03/08/10 at 11am. Total prize value is (up to) $100. WOW! The winner will be notified by mail and their name will be published on line at Girlfriend.com.au on 31/08/10.

BTW it part in bold is me thinking.
But $100 is a lot (for me)!
So it would be cool as shit to win.

I'm going to go on Facebook and tell my friends to read this blog!
